I am a fully qualified counsellor, with 5 years experience and I am passionate about mental health and empowering others.
Our lives can be difficult, challenging and overwhelming for so many different reasons and sometimes we feel that we have lost our way.
This may be due to a number of reasons: perhaps you have been affected by a particular life event; perhaps you feel out of control and out of your depth; perhaps you notice negative patterns in your life; perhaps you sense that something just isn't right or something in your life is missing.
This is where counselling can help, by providing you with time, space and support to work things through.
I provide a safe, caring, warm, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to be really listened to, supported and valued as an individual.
Together, we can explore and clarify the issues that are troubling you, creating a focus for you to move forward and make the changes that you want to make in order to grow.

Being listened to allows you to make sense of overwhelming feelings and thoughts, so that you can integrate what is happening into a coherent narrative, moving away from chaos and rigidity towards greater self-understanding and growth.
Receiving a compassionate response, being compassionate to yourself and having compassion for other human beings, keeps you socially engaged and connected with the world, promoting a greater sense of wellbeing.
Knowing how to seek support when you feel vulnerable allows you to plan and mobilise and take appropriate action for safety.
Actively taking care of yourself, as a valuable human being, provides a solid foundation for positive mental health.
